Enrollment.

Enrollment for students for September 2016 is OPEN for the following classes:

  • Toddler Class for students 2 years on or before August 31st 2016
  • Montessori Class for students 3,4 or 5 years on or before August 31st 2016
  • Infants B Class for students 6 years old on or before August 31st 2016
  • J1 for students 7 years old on or before August 31st 2016
  • J2 for students 8 years old on or before August 31st 2016

Admissions.

SCHOOL FEES.

Tuition is to be paid in full one term in advance, September’s tuition is to be received by June 20th, January’s tuition is due September 20th and April’s tuition is due by January 20th. Parents are required to pay for school fees for the term in full as they are taking the responsibility for that place from the time that their child starts until the child leaves. The termly tuition is a set rate which does not fluctuate even though terms may vary from 10-15 weeks throughout the academic year. In the event of a family having three or more children attending St. Luke’s Academy at any one time, the third and subsequent children are given a 10% discount on the school fees for the 3rd sibling. Fees for “Short term” students are made available upon request (please see Short-term Students). School fees are nonrefundable except in the case where St Luke’s Academy terminates the enrollment

Toddler Class | Montessori Class | Primary School.

There are different fixed rates for National, Caricom and International students and vary from Toddlers, Montessori and Primary School. This is billed by the term. To qualify for the local/national rate for the fees the student must possess a Barbadian passport, a Barbadian birth certificate and or a Barbados I.D. card. A similar condition applies for Caricom students. Tuition Fees must be paid BEFORE the beginning of each term to the Secretary / Treasurer. If not paid in full by the end of the preceding of term, the Board of Management reserves the right not to permit any student to attend school until payment has been made.

REGISTRATION FEE.

A Registration fee of $100.00BDS must be paid on submission of your application form. Registration fees are non-refundable.

SHORT-TERM STUDENTS/VISITORS (not applicable to registered full time students).

A “Short-term student” is a student who is enrolled for less than 3 complete terms or 1 full academic year. Prices available upon request

WEEKLY
  • Half Day per week or part thereof up to 3 weeks
  • Whole day school per week or part thereof up to 3 weeks

  • Half day fee per month (3 + to 4wks)
  • Whole day fee per month (3 + to 4wks)
  • 4 WEEKS OR MORE
    If a student spends more than 4 weeks they are required to pay a full term’s fees (we will supply the amounts whether applicable for half day or whole day).If there are any short weeks due to public holidays or school given days the student is still required to pay for the entire week. If a parent is only looking for a day or 2 you will still be required to pay for the week in full. It is not our policy to break down the weeks into days attended, as you are paying for the space. We do not break up the term’s fees into weeks or days for full time students.

    REVIEWING FEES

    All fees and charges are reviewed annually by the Board of Governors. At the end of the academic year, prior to the payment date, notice is usually given with reports of any change in fees for the new academic year in the following September.


    ADMISSION FOR TODDLER CLASS
    • Once we receive the Information Form, Attendance Contract, Registration Fee, a copy of the birth certificate, National Passport or ID card, the Doctor’s letter covering developmental milestones and certificate of good health and immunizations received so far we will process the application.
    • School is open from 7:30am
    • The 2 to 3yr olds class is whole day 8am – 3:00pm with the option for ½ day pick up at 11:30am
    • There is no breakdown in fees for students attending less than 5 days a week.
    • There is no uniform for this age group.
    • For full time students payment is to be made by the end of the preceding term or by the 2nd week of attendance at the time of enrolment or there is an increase to the tuition at a 10% rate. September’s tuition is to be received by June 20th, January’s tuition is due September 20th and April’s tuition is due by January 20th.
    ADMISSION FOR MONTESSORI CLASS & PRIMARY SCHOOL
    • Once we receive the Information Form, Attendance Contract, Registration Fee, a copy of the birth certificate or National Passport or ID card, the Doctor’s letter covering developmental milestones and certificate of good health and immunizations so far we will process the application.
    • Tuition is to be paid in full one term in advance, September’s tuition is to be received by June 20th, January’s tuition is due September 20th and April’s tuition is due by January 20th.
    • Any parents failing to give notice of 4 months prior to removing your respective child/children will result in one term’s tuition in lieu of notice per student and or losing the tuition paid in advance, being owed to St Luke’s Academy.
    • In regards to children not returning in September for the following academic year, we require notice by January 31st of the same year, which would be 5 months’ notice. Failure to comply will result in 1 term’s tuition due or retained in lieu of notice for September –December. Along with one term’s PE & Resources fee.
    • The Montessori classroom is one with students of mixed ages, from 3-6 years.
    • There are no reductions in tuition for children not attending full time.
    • We require that all children entering school for the first time should have a physical examination and all immunizations should be up to date.
